Experiments Show that Incompatible Foods Have no Scientific Basis

Now there are a lot of health books in the market, among them, incompatible foods is definitely the part of the “hot”. Various kinds of saying the incompatible foods make people do not know what to do, but many people choose to believe them.


In order to verify whether the incompatible foods have basis in the end? Chinese Nutrition Society and Lanzhou University, Harbin Medical University conducted a test. The testing trials of Lanzhou University selected 60 healthy volunteers, and they tasted five pair of the typical incompatible foods. The results showed, after 7 days, there were not any adverse reactions and clinical symptoms for the crowd, the subjects of mental state, diet, sleep, and urine etc had no  abnormal place, neither bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and other symptoms. The tasting test of Harbin Medical University also confirmed the incompatible foods have no scientific basis.


In fact, the first incompatible foods took place in Nanjing. In 1935, there was a popular disease in Nanjing. People all said that was food poisoning caused by eating mixed bananas and taro leading to the foods were adverse. Professor in Nanjing University decided to adopt the test to verify the view of incompatible foods leading to epidemics.


The professor chose the most widely popular and with more opportunity to eat in their daily lives, which were bananas and taro, peanuts and cucumber, green onions and honey, beef and chestnut and so on these14 groups of food, in accordance of the method of cooking and collocation of the average diet, he used each group of food to feed the rats and monkeys at the same time. Finally, he chose the most common food of the 14 group to use people to test. In the 24 hours after eating, all test animals and the people's facial expressions, behavior, body temperature and stool color and number and so on were all normal. As a result, the spread of eating incompatible foods leading to food poisoning proved unfounded.


Although scientific studies confirm that there is no scientific basis of incompatible food, but food interaction thereby affecting the absorption of nutrients, which is true, this is also a major theoretical pillar in recent years on the incompatible food. Interaction of nutrients and food components is indeed an objective reality, but which has little effect on people, so we don’t need to care about it too much.
